Southeastern Climbers Coalition (SCC) and Access Fund are thrilled to announce the purchase and protection of the iconic Citadel Boulders in Fort Payne, Alabama. The acquisition includes 58 acres of undeveloped land surrounding an incredible boulder field. It is more than two decades in the making, and another landmark victory for climbing and conservation in the Southeast. SCC will manage the Citadel Boulders alongside its eight other land holdings for climbing and conservation. Citadel Boulders are located on top of beautiful Lookout Mountain, Alabama.

Access is offered in accordance with the Alabama Recreational Use Statute (Alabama Code 35-15-1 et seq.).  If you choose to enter this area you are voluntarily choosing to assume all risk of personal injury and/or property loss. Please do your part to keep this area scenic and wild for all generations to enjoy.

• Please maintain a low profile by keeping noise to a minimum so as not to disturb the local community.
• This property is only open from dawn til dusk. No overnight camping or visitation. Please observe these hours to ensure that we are respectful of our neighbors.
• Leave No Trace: Keep this area beautiful and clean. Clean up after yourselves, your peers, and your pets. Lead by example and pick it up on the first pass.
• Pets must be on a leash at all times
