Pollinator Journal Journey Hike Join DeSoto’s Naturalists for this creative nature observation hike, combining art & nature! Learn how to keep your own nature journal while strolling along trails in DeSoto State Park, on hike we will talk about our beautiful pollinators and beneficial insects! We will hike on the chalet trail which is .7 to the Gilliam Loop Trailhead. We will hang out for a while working on our nature journals with provided materials. For ages 8 to adult, we encourage all ages to join! About the hike: the hike is considered easy to moderate on uneven terrain. Total 1.4 mile loop. What to bring: Backpack with plenty of water and snacks. Closed-toed shoes. A favorite journal if you have one, and we will supply watercolor paper, watercolor pencils, clipboards, etc. Bring something to sit on if you prefer. Meet in front of Lodge in the pollinator garden.
