Mountain Music 200K
This route was originally scheduled in January. We had ten riders register but the weather was cold and snowy and only one rider braved the elements to finish in time. We posed the option to replace the All You Can Eat 200K out of Huntsville with another attempt at the Mountain Music. The survey was overwhelming that our ridership wanted to return to Fort Payne.
So, join us again on May 7th at Fort Payne High School as we tackle the Mountain Music 200K. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/35054437.
The route is nearly 131 miles Northeast through Mentone into Northwest Georgia and then turn south from Kensington, GA to Menlo, GA. From Menlo, we turn Northwest back toward Mentone where we sill head Southwest toward and through Little River Canyon National Preserve before turning North back to Fort Payne High School. Great roads and scenic route with around 7000′ of climbing. A challenge anytime of the year, but especially so at the beginning of the season.
