Introduction to Linocut Printmaking

In this introductory workshop, students will learn the basics of block printing from local artist and printmaker Meg T. Justice of Bee Spring Studio. Join Meg inside the Chuck Sennett Center for the Arts, where you will be guided through the process of designing, carving and printing our very own linocut printmaking block. The class is limited to 10 students and tuition is $100 plus a $35 printmaking kit fee paid directly to the instructor. The kit includes block, ink, brayer, gouge tools. Since sharp tools are involved, the class is aimed at adults and older teens. Everyone will take home 5 of your own handprinted cards with envelopes. Students can also take the kit with them to carve at home.
