Amphibian Night Hike
Amphibian Night Hike Join Alabama State Park staff to get to know the park after dark! As the sun sets, the forest comes alive! Come along on a guided night hike to listen for calling frogs, search for salamanders, and discover the secret lives of amphibians after dark. Learn how these fascinating animals survive, why they’re important to our ecosystems, and how you can help protect them. About the hike: we will be on the cabin road & go to the frog pond, near DeSoto’s South entrance. All ages welcome; children must be supervised. We will meet & hike from DeSoto State Park Lodge-short distance, light hiking on uneven terrain. 8:00 p.m. (CST) Where: DeSoto State Park-Fort Payne, Alabama.
