DeKalb County Public Fishing Lake

This 120-acre state lake offers some of the finest fishing in NE Alabama. Bass fishing, bluegill and red ear sunfish, catfish, and crappie make fishing DeKalb Lake fun all four seasons. The lake is open 7 days a week from sun-up to sun-down during summer months and is located on Sand Mountain.

**Fall closing days August – November: Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday
Closed completely down for Winter – December and January
Re-open February 1, 2024
