Canyon Birds – Birding Hike

Join a park ranger for a leisurely morning birding hike at Beaver Pond, one of Little River Canyon’s premier birdwatching locations. Participants will use the free Merlin Bird ID app to identify birds by sight (Don’t forget your smart phone) and sound while learning about the canyon’s diverse birdlife. This free, family-friendly program features an easy, approximately 2-mile round-trip hike on mostly flat terrain and is open to all ages, with no prior birding experience required. Binoculars are recommended (a limited number will be available). Meet at the Beaver Pond Trail Parking Area and bring water, comfortable walking shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.
