Windows to Nature: Fairy Houses  “Build them and the fairies will come!”  Join Renee S. Raney, Alabama State Parks Chief of Interpretation, and the author of the book Hairy, Scary, but Mostly Merry Fairies: Curing Nature-Deficit Disorder through Folklore, Imagination, and Creative Activities for a workshop filled with fairy stories and “leave in the woods” natural fairy house building. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited.  DeSoto State Park-Fort Payne, Alabama. CCC Pavilion in Picnic Area, across from the Country Store & Information Center Fee: $10 per participant. Ages 7 to 107.
