Black Bears in NE Alabama- Thomas Harms will discuss the increase in Black Bears in NE Alabama including DeKalb County and areas around DeSoto State Park and Little River canyon National Preserve. Learn about the research program DCNR is conducting with Auburn University on the DeKalb County Black Bear populations, human interaction with Black Bears, resident bears, and more.Bald and Golden Eagles in Alabama-Mercedes Bartkovich will talk about the many resident eagles that we have in Alabama, where you can see them, etc.  Discuss the ongoing DCNR research projects involving eagles in the state.Wildlife in your Backyard- Carrie Threadgill will cover human-wildlife interaction that can occur in your own yard.  Learn about Whitetail Deer and issues humans face with deer, small mammals such as opossums, raccoons, squirrels, and such, and how to enhance your yard for more observation opportunities or how to handle problem wildlife
